Exuma is a Fishermen's Paradise.

Some call it Jurassic Park.

Point of View is a perfect "home base" for fishermen. Our day dock at the house can hold up to a 35' boat. Our slip at the February Point Marina Club can hold up to a 40' boat overnight.

Fish nearby (outside of the Moriah Cay Nature Preserve boundaries) to catch a wide array of fish. Depending on the season you will find wahoo, mahi, grouper, snapper, blackfin and yellowfin tuna, and blue marlin. Here is a seasonal chart.

Venture for day trips from Great Exuma to Stella Maris on Long Island (27 miles) or to Hawk's Nest on Cat Island (43 miles).

February Point is 54 miles from Sumner Point Marina at Rum Cay, 56 miles Southeast of Staniel Cay, and 87 miles from Cape Eleuthera.

Guides: Hire Antonio Johnson or Doug Rowe for day trips.

Please d
o not clean fish on either of our docks. Immediately dispose of all carcasses in the garbage at the curb.

Bonefishing in Exuma

Fishing depth is below mid calf, but be prepared to be waist-deep in the water and wear wading shoes above the ankle. We have a dry bag at the house.

  • Bonefish Bay is on the backside of the island. Drive toward The Cays but go to “Catch a Fire” - on Google maps - park at Catch a Fire at the boat ramp. Wade out to the right.
  • Drive to the Little Exuma bridge and park at the boat ramp, or across the bridge on the left side. If you go across the bridge, walk back by the signs then down the trail along the shoreline trail until you see an old fish trap mesh cage, then go a little further and you can walk across the flat. Go at low or incoming tide. Bring a small bag of shrimp to chum. Standing casting works - it’s hard to walk around. Or, take a paddleboard and launch from the ramp.
  • Guides: Bonefish Stevie is great. Will take you on the backside in a skiff.
